Quality Control Methods & Application Data on Batch Cards
Standards Quality Control

Standard Quality Control Instructions are stored with a formulation and recorded against every batch of the formulation issued to production.
They are printed on the batch card in a reserved position.
Quality Control Methods are saved in the Quality Control Methods Library for re-use in other formulations
Click insert to add a new Quality Control Instructions

Type the method code if know or else press the ellipsis button to look up existing Quality Control Methods.
This will open a window on the Quality Control Methods library. To add a new Quality Control Method click insert.

Add the Method Code, Method Text, as well as the Lower Range, Target Value and Upper Range.
Once the batch has been issued to Work in progress the actual results of the quality control tests can be recorded against the Standard Quality Control Instructions for later reporting (Quality assurance certificates)
Alternatively you can create the Quality Control Methods library from the menu option 'Files > Formulations > Quality Control Method Library'

Additional Quality Control Methods
This facility is designed to allow the printing of additional quality control and application methods on formulation master cards and production batch cards.
An additional quality control entry consists of up to three fields:
1. Method code
2. Label
3. Accompanying text
MENU OPTION: Configure > Preferences
Use the tab scrolling buttons to scroll through all available tabs, find the tab labelled: 'Quality Control Applications', this is where you can set up the labels for use in all formulations.
You can re-order the sequence of the labels by using the 'change sequence buttons' on the bottom left of the screen.

1 - Tab scrolling buttons
2 - Change sequence buttons
The difference between these additional quality control and application methods and the standard quality control instructions is that it is possible to specify a specific row/column position on the batch card for each of these methods whereas standard quality control instructions start in a specified row/column on the batch card and automatically print as a list all in the same column.
Adding Text
When editing formulations from MENU OPTION: Files > Formulation > Edit you can add additional quality control methods by pressing the 'Quality control / Additional' button:

You can then enter the label and text for the appropriate additional quality controls / application data:

Any additional quality control data that you store for a formulation is available for import into any other formulation by using the: "Import From Another Formulation" button. This means You can also import an entire set of appropriate additional quality controls / application data from another formulation (same as standard quality controls).

If you would like to have a fixed block of additional quality controls / application data labels for every formulation then enter this block for one formulation then import it for each new formulation. You can then enter the appropriate text for the specific formulation.
MS Word

You can create a Microsoft Word document containing any additional manufacturing information.
This document will automatically be stored with the formulation and printed out every time a batch card is issued.
